Questions, answered
Do you ever get permission to send email?
Never. TrackSES connects read-only over SNS with a least-privilege IAM user. The only things it writes are its own SNS event destination on your configuration sets and a default configuration set on the identities you connect; it never requests ses:Send* and physically cannot send on your behalf.
How long does setup take?
About five minutes. In Automatic mode, paste a scoped AWS access key and TrackSES wires up the SNS subscription and the configuration set for you. Prefer not to share keys? Use the CloudFormation template: TrackSES generates a one-click stack that creates the SNS topic and configuration set with no credentials at all.
What counts toward my quota?
The number of emails monitored each month, meaning the volume of SES sends TrackSES processes for you. Every event type (delivered, bounced, complaint, opened, clicked) is included, and you only pay for the volume tier.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade anytime from your billing page. Annual plans are billed yearly and save you up to 20% versus the monthly rate. Upgrading mid-cycle is prorated.
What is the free trial?
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and no credit card is required to sign up. When it ends, you can subscribe or simply let the account pause. Either way, your data is never deleted.
